Case 2 (02209): Breast Asymmetry / Deformity
This 46 year old mother of 3 children consulted Dr. Graham about improving her breast size & shape. She was not aware that she had a significant breast deformity. Her breasts had asymmetric size, areolar protrusion, very narrow constriction of the bases , little glandular tissue -- all characteristic of a condition known as tubular breast deformity. Correction necessitated a combination of procedures: implant augmentation to provide volume and contour, and periareolar mastopexy to reshape the central breast. The incision removes excess pigmented areolar skin, and leaves a scar around the areola. Internal work was also done. 350-380ml subpectoral saline implants seemed to provide a nice breast shape and volume.
